Friday, March 22, 2024 the Grande Voiture du Texas will host the 75th Anniversary Celebration in two events. Both are open to the public and we hope many will attend to learn about this little known gift from the people of France!

The Texas Merci Boxcar is on display in the Great Hall of the Texas Military Forces Museum. On Friday, March 22, 2024, we will host a celebration event at the Texas Merci Boxcar at 12:00 pm.

Gifts from the Texas Merci Boxcar will be on display at the Capitol Visitor Center, 112 E. 11th Street, Austin, Texas. The Capitol Visitor Center is located just East of the Texas State Capitol Building and open to the public from 9am - 5pm Mon - Fri and Noon - 5pm on Sat and Sun.

Gifts from the Texas Merci Boxcar are stored at the Briscoe Center of Military History and have only been on display a handful of times. This exhibit will likely be the last exhibit for at least a decade, so everyone is encouraged to see these personal treasures for themselves.

The Grande Voiture du Texas will officially open the exhibit on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm. This event is open to the public!
